We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer within our Countryside and Environment team at our Merrist Wood Campus. You will be responsible for delivering education and training to students at the College for a number of courses with a variation of levels covering both Further Education and Higher Education provision.
You will be responsible for quality teaching and learning in the delivery of courses and in supporting the raising of standards in accordance with the Corporate Aims and Strategic Objectives of the College.
This a permanent full time position, based at our Merrist Wood campus.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
You will be enthusiastic and motivated and ideally carry relevant qualifications and/or experience in the Countryside sector within FE and/or HE provision. You will have a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards a recognised qualification. Ideally, you will have work experience within a Further Education environment and teaching on City and Guilds and Pearson/BTEC qualifications. Unqualified candidates would start at a lower salary point and this could be discussed at interview, if successfully shortlisted.
In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have an open mindset and attitude towards technology and virtual learning tools. Along with current Maths and English skills, you will also demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
