Base: Cambridge Campus (Milton)
Hours: 18.5 per week (can be worked flexibly as days to be agreed)
This is a temporary post until 31 August 2022.
Do you think you could inspire others? You could be currently working on a farm or in a role in the wider agricultural industry and would like to move into a reliable, long-term career choice. Or you might be someone who is passionate about livestock and crops but never thought of teaching? Teaching is a thoroughly rewarding and respected career. We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic person to be part of a team delivering innovative, high standard, sessions and support for our Agricultural Apprentices who are studying L2 General Farm Worker (Livestock or Crop) and L3 Crop Production. The subjects you teach will depend on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. You will split your time between delivering on campus and supporting students at their farm location.
The successful candidate will have a Level 3 qualification or Degree in a relevant subject area, or equivalent. You must have relevant industrial experience in a rural or agricultural environment, experience in arable, livestock or machinery. Experience of teaching is preferred, but not essential. You must also have a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. Diploma in Education/DTLLS/Cert Ed/PGCE) or equivalent or be willing to obtain one within the first 3 years of employment. You must hold a Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*-C/9-4) or equivalent or be willing to obtain within 18 months of employment.
We offer an excellent package including a generous annual leave allowance, plus five College closure days, fee waivers on some College courses, a contributory pension scheme, support with training and development.
