For this role, we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated teacher with the ability to deliver high quality, inspiring theory and practical teaching sessions with strong industry links to give our learners an exceptional learning experience. You will work alongside our experienced team members to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment to a wide range of HE and FE learners.

This post would suit candidates who have experience in delivering further or higher education to a range of abilities, notably Technical City and Guilds qualifications. Those applicants without such academic experience (perhaps those with strong industry experience) but with a passion for delivering exceptional teaching to learners must be prepared to be quick thinking, hardworking and creative in inspiring our learners in our animal care department.

This post requires not only an enthusiastic teacher with the ability to create engaging and challenging lessons but also act as a role model for aspiring animal carers and university level graduates, who has the personal qualities, values and high standards of animal welfare that students can aspire to. You will preferably hold graduate or equivalent level qualifications in an animal-related subject and have sound administrative and organisational skills.

Hours: 0.6 fraction which is 22.2 hours per week or 3 days, Monday – Friday with flexibility to meet business needs*

*This role could be available on a full-time contract.

Salary: £21,902 - £27,273 per annum pro rata depending upon qualifications and experience which is points L4b – L9c on the Academic Staff Salary Scale.

Job Purpose: To teach and develop the specialist skills of our Higher Education (HE) and Further Education (FE) learners and carry out regular formative and summative assessment. This will include both live and/or online lessons with course management responsibilities.
