Landex - 'Land Based Colleges & Universities Aspiring to Excellence' is a membership organisation of 39 Land based colleges and universities across the UK, with a farming footprint of 15,000 hectares and 7000 residential beds. 33 of these institutions are designated specialist land based providers.
All of our members are Colleges and Universities in the UK that provide high quality further and or higher education in at least 6 land based occupational areas. As well as deliver significant volumes of education and training in land based occupational areas
The Ofsted profile, or other devolved quality measure was 95% good or better (summer 2023) outstripping the performance of the wider GFE provision.
Landex was formed in 2006 from its predecessor organisation, Napaeo, which was founded in 1950, and represented the interests of land based Colleges and the industries they served during a period of continuous change and development.
